La necrópolis de Santa Rita (Cacela, Portugal) refleja la historia funeraria y el poder de los antepasados de una comunidad del suroeste peninsular ente el IV milenio ANE y el I milenio DNE.
Ésta comenzó con una tumba megalítica formada por una gran cámara adintelada, cubierta por un túmulo y rodeada de varios anillos perimetrales, a la que se accedía desde un corredor y una puerta de caliza blanca.
A su interior se documentó un osario integrado por varias decenas de cadáveres acompañados de un complejo ritual funerario del que formó parte una amplia variedad de productos realizados en piedra, cerámica, cobre, etc.
